All European Union countries have similar design of passports and this naturally includes common security features and biometrics. RFID chipped passports are used in all European Union countries and most of them have been taken into use after the year 2004. If your passport is relatively new, it most likely contains RFID chip with your personal information like name, date of birth, nationality etc. Some countries also include a fingerprint in the RFID chip. One simply way to make sure if you have RFID chip in your passport, is to see if there is a symbol of electronic passport on the cover. If still unsure, the chip is placed inside the plastic, information page of the passport. When looked very carefully trough strong light, the antenna and actual chip is visible.
