Pimp My Passport is a project to organise workshops where the participants craft protective passport covers preventing unwanted reading of passports RFID chips. Pimp My Passport spreads information about RFID (Radio-frequency identification) technology and possible privacy issues - but with grass root tongue in cheek attitude. It plays around with the notion of nationality and its symbols; seeking new ways to signal identity by ”pimping” personal travel documents.

The materials used in the workshops are recycled. Unharmful.
All the passport covers are tested with a reader to make sure that they work.
